Software Engineer - Telemetry and Data APIs

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer on the Telemetry and Data APIs team at SolarWinds, you will play a crucial role in shaping how SolarWinds teams extract data from the platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance APIs to facilitate efficient querying of telemetry data points, enabling customers to derive meaningful insights from complex observability data. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement high-performance APIs that allow efficient querying of billions of telemetry data points - Architect solutions to help customers extract meaningful insights from complex observability data - Lead technical initiatives to improve query performance, data accessibility, and response time - Develop flexible data models to support diverse customer use cases and visualization needs - Collaborate with product teams to create intuitive data access patterns that align with evolving customer requirements - Mentor junior engineers in API design and best practices for data retrieval Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing robust software solutions using Java, Kotlin, Go, or similar languages - Experience in designing and building scalable APIs using technologies like GraphQL and REST - Track record of working with observability products and understanding their unique data requirements - Hands-on experience with graph databases for storing and querying complex relationship data - Practical knowledge of time-series databases and their optimization techniques for telemetry data - Applied understanding of statistical concepts as they relate to data analysis and visualization - Proven ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment Note: All applications are treated in accordance with the SolarWinds Privacy Notice.,
