Job Description

As a member of the Secure Cloud Expansion team at Stripe, you will play a crucial role in building the necessary guardrails to extend Stripes secure platform. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement solutions that advance Stripes infrastructure security beyond the state of the art, expanding our cloud footprint across various clouds and services. By designing and implementing guardrails and controls, you will support security invariants and enforce security principles while ensuring a great user experience for both commonly used and newer cloud technologies. Your expertise in CI tooling for platform-related configuration will be essential, along with ensuring that all cloud infrastructure is defined in code with strict change management processes in place. We are seeking a candidate who possesses empathy, strong communication skills, and a deep respect for collaboration. A continuous learning mindset is highly valued, regardless of your level of experience. With a minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience in a high-stakes production environment, you should be adept at writing high-quality code in a major programming language and have a constructive attitude to help elevate the skills of your peers. Your ability to drive clear next steps in ambiguous situations, think creatively about reducing risk in complex environments, and your deep experience with infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP will be crucial for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience in conducting threat modeling of software or infrastructure in cloud-native environments, familiarity with security monitoring tools like CSPM and CNAAP, as well as experience in a multi-cloud or complex cloud environment. In terms of in-office expectations, Stripes in most locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of their time in a given month in their local office or with users. This requirement may vary depending on the role, team, and location. Some roles, such as those in Stripe Delivery Center in Mexico City or Bengaluru, may require 100% office presence. Your hiring manager will provide more details on in-office attendance requirements to support collaboration and workflows effectively while promoting flexibility when feasible.,
