Software Engineer, PySpark and AWS, AVP

We are offering this role at the associate vice president level. In your new role, you will engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions. You will be working within a feature team, using your extensive experience to engineer software, scripts, and tools that are often complex. Additionally, you will liaise with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform. You will also be responsible for producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality, which adds value to the business. You will work in permanent teams that are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning. Collaboration to optimize our software engineering capability, designing, producing, testing, and implementing our working code, and working across the life cycle from requirements analysis and design through coding to testing, deployment, and operations are also key responsibilities. To excel in this role, you will need a background in software engineering, software design, architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers. You should have at least eight years of experience with PySpark and AirFlow, as well as experience in AWS data engineering ecosystems like Athena, Glue catalog, S3, and EMR Serverless. Moreover, experience working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and wikis, as well as experience in multiple programming languages or low code toolsets, DevOps, Testing, Agile methodology, and associated toolsets are required. A background in solving highly complex, analytical, and numerical problems, along with experience in implementing programming best practices especially around scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance, will be beneficial for this role.,
