As a Software Engineer II - Databricks Engineer + Python programming, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to deliver trusted market-leading Data Engineering Solutions and Data products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Your responsibilities will include implementing Databricks integration and interoperability with other cloud providers, collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, developing and maintaining data product interfaces, monitoring and optimizing the performance and scalability of data products and infrastructure, providing training and support to domain teams on data mesh principles and cloud data technologies, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data mesh and cloud computing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement Databricks integration and interoperability with other cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Immuta, and OpenAI. - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. - Develop and maintain data product interfaces, data contracts, and governance frameworks. - Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of data products and infrastructure. - Provide training and support to domain teams on data mesh principles and cloud data technologies. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data mesh and cloud computing. **Qualifications Required:** - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience. - Applied experience in Data Engineering space using enterprise tools, home-grown frameworks, and specialization in Databricks implementation from start to end. - Experience with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake. - Experience in Python programming is a must. - Experience as a Databricks Engineer in an enterprise environment. - Hands-on practical experience delivering application development, testing, and operational stability. - Deep working knowledge in SQL, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, DLT, and other big data technologies. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with Core Java is preferred. - Certification in Databricks data engineer associate/professional is nice to have. - Experience of working in development teams, using agile techniques and Object-Oriented development and scripting languages, is preferred.
