Software Development Engineer- III Appium

As a Test Automation Engineer at GMP, you will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for mobile apps using Appium, web applications using Selenium WebDriver, and RESTful and SOAP APIs using PyTest with requests. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing automated test cases as part of the CI/CD pipeline, writing and maintaining reusable PyTest-based test suites for service-level validation, and collaborating with developers, product managers, and DevOps to define test coverage, quality goals, and release readiness. You will troubleshoot test failures, perform root cause analysis, and log clear and actionable bugs, while also setting up and enhancing test reporting dashboards, test data management, and environment strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to building a test automation strategy and roadmap and mentor and guide junior QA/SDET team members. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of experience in software test automation. - Proficiency in Python, with solid experience using PyTest for automation. - Strong hands-on experience in Appium for Android and iOS testing, Selenium WebDriver for browser automation, and API testing using PyTest + requests, JSON validation, and schema checks. - Good understanding of REST principles, HTTP status codes, and API authentication (OAuth, tokens). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). - Solid knowledge of Git, version control practices, and branching strategies. - Working knowledge of test reporting tools (Allure, HTML reports, etc.). - Familiarity with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar API tools. - Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments. Nice To Have: - Experience with Dockerized testing, Django, microservices. - Familiarity with performance testing tools like Locust or JMeter. - Hands-on experience with mocking/stubbing frameworks or tools like WireMock / MockServer. - Integration with cloud-based device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab). - Exposure to test case management tools (e.g., Zephyr). - Experience with PlayWright.,
