Software Development Engineer II - Mobile UI

As a Software Development Engineer II at our company, you will be part of a dynamic team based in Bangalore, India. With 3 to 6 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing robust Android native applications and scalable React-based web apps. Your role will involve crafting digital tools that empower users across India, making a significant impact at scale. Your key responsibilities will include owning and building features end-to-end for Android (Kotlin) and React (TypeScript/JavaScript) applications. Collaboration with Product, Design, and Backend teams will be essential to translate user requirements into technical solutions. You will drive clean code practices, maintain architectural integrity, and optimize applications for speed and scalability. Monitoring app performance and reliability across various network conditions and devices will also be part of your responsibilities. We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in software development, particularly in Android (preferably Kotlin) and React. A strong understanding of core Android components, proficiency in React.js, knowledge of software engineering principles, and experience in shipping consumer-facing apps are key requirements. Familiarity with REST APIs, debugging tools, and automated testing frameworks is crucial. An ownership mindset, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach are highly valued. Nice to have skills include familiarity with offline-first architectures, CI/CD pipelines, release management, backend systems, and GraphQL.
