Software Developer-VoIP

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled VoIP / Software Developer with hands-on experience in telephony platforms, backend development, and real-time communication systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, Laravel PHP, and WebRTC-based applications.

The role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud telephony solutions, contact center platforms, dialers, and real-time communication applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance VoIP, cloud telephony, and contact center applications.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FreeSWITCH and Asterisk servers.
• Develop WebRTC-based voice-calling applications and real-time communication solutions.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel PHP.
• Design and implement SIP call flows, dialplans, IVR systems, and call-routing logic.
• Integrate third-party APIs, telecom providers, and communication platforms.
• Troubleshoot SIP, RTP, call-quality, connectivity, and server-related issues.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams for integrations and deployments.
• Monitor and maintain production telephony infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH and/or Asterisk.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel PHP framework and backend development.
• Experience with WebRTC and real-time voice communication.
• Good understanding of SIP, RTP, SIP trunking, call routing, dialplans, and IVR.
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Working knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux server administration and Git version control.

Additional / Preferred Skills

• Experience with VICIdial, FusionPBX, or Kamailio.
• Knowledge of Node.js, MERN stack, or real-time socket communication.
• Experience integrating Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, or similar telecom providers.
• Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, PM2, and Nginx.
• Understanding of scalable telecom architecture and production deployments.
