Software Developer (PHP)

You will be a Software Developer PHP & PostgreSQL Intern at NISTU Technical Consultancy Services (NTCS) in Berhampur, Odisha. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain server-side applications using PHP and PostgreSQL. You will work on designing and implementing RESTful APIs, integrating front-end interfaces, applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and MVC design patterns, participating in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning. Collaboration in version-controlled environments (Git) for structured development is essential. Ensuring code security, maintainability, and adherence to institutional IT standards will be part of your tasks. Additionally, you will support deployment, testing, and documentation activities. Qualifications: - Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures). - Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development using PHP, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. - Knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns, and secure coding practices. - Experience or familiarity with Laravel / CodeIgniter frameworks (preferred). - Problem-solving aptitude, analytical mindset, and strong debugging skills. - Effective teamwork, communication, and time management abilities. - B.E./B.Tech. in CSE/IT, BCA/MCA, or related discipline (final-year students eligible). You will be located at NTCS, NIST University, Berhampur, Odisha, for an internship with potential full-time conversion based on performance.
