Social Studies Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either History or Geography and a commitment to fostering a deep understanding of social studies concepts in students. The teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and a deeper appreciation of the world around us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies to students, focusing on History or Geography (depending on your specialization).
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including discussions, multimedia, and hands-on activities, to make learning interactive.
• Assess and monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages respectful discussion, inquiry, and the exploration of historical events and geographical concepts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate social studies across other subjects.
• Encourage students to understand the relevance of social studies in their daily lives and future careers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, or a related field.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) with teaching experience in Social Studies.
• Strong understanding of historical events, geographical concepts, and social issues.
• Ability to engage students in critical thinking and discussions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, organized, and patient with a passion for teaching.
