SOC Architect - SoC platforms Senior Staff engineer

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will be involved in the research, design, development, simulation, and validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions. Your role will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technology by collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Work with Qualcomm's Platform Architecture team on next-generation System-on-chip (SoC) for Compute, smartphone, IoT, and other product categories. - Contribute to the architecture and microarchitecture of various subsystems and interfaces of the SoCs, such as reset, boot, power management, security, access control, debug services, CPU, DSP, GPU, and AI Accelerator subsystems. - Collaborate with Hardware and Software teams to understand design requirements, specifications, and interface details. - Validate architecture/microarchitecture models for peripherals, interconnects, and IPs for Qualcomm SoC platforms. - Integrate models into the SoC platform and validate IP/System Level use cases. - Perform area, power, performance trade-offs, and analysis of HW/SW reusability requirements for IP/Cores and complete SoC. - Develop specifications, system-level architecture/microarchitecture of system use cases, working with cross-functional teams. - Utilize expertise in ARM-based SoC architectures and computer architecture fundamentals to develop complex systems. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. - OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. - OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. - Bachelors or Masters in computer engineering and/or Electronics Engineering (or related fields). - SOC Architecture Background, preferably in Compute SOC Architecture.
