We are urgently hiring a Senior Java Microservices Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a Hybrid role based out of Gurgaon , with work hours aligned to USA time zones . The ideal candidate must be able to join within 1 month . Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot . Build reactive applications using Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor . Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka and Azure Event Hub . Work closely with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and maintain services in AWS and Azure . Build secure, high-throughput REST APIs with asynchronous and non-blocking behavior. Participate in code reviews , mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to system observability , logging, and tracing. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem. Strong expertise in Spring WebFlux and reactive programming concepts. Experience with Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Streams). Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS/SQS) and/or Azure Event Hub . Solid knowledge of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and performance optimization. Proficient in asynchronous programming , REST API development , and non-blocking I/O . Familiarity with microservices testing strategies: contract testing, mocking, test containers. Understanding of system design concepts: caching, load balancing, partitioning, data flow. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with observability tools like Grafana , Prometheus , ELK , or Datadog . Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Experience in Agile development environments. Hands-on with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus). Knowledge of both AWS and Azure is a strong advantage. As a key contributor to our engineering team, you will work during US business hours , collaborating with stakeholders and team members across time zones. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby (Rails, Grape). Optimize performance, troubleshoot memory issues, and tune GC/worker settings. Write clean, testable, and efficient code with an emphasis on maintainability. Optimize PostgreSQL queries and leverage advanced ActiveRecord capabilities. Contribute to architectural discussions, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless product delivery. Deploy and manage applications using tools like Passenger and Thin. Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in Ruby , including metaprogramming, blocks, procs, and lambdas. Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails , ActiveJob , ActionCable , etc. In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and ActiveRecord optimizations (N+1, indexes).
