As a Snowflake & Matillion Data Architect, your role involves designing and implementing end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake and Matillion for ingestion, transformation, and storage. You will define and maintain best practices in data modeling, lead the adoption of modern data stack tools, collaborate with various teams to build reliable data pipelines, and ensure compliance with governance and security frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Additionally, you will optimize Snowflake performance, develop integration strategies across various sources, promote data quality standards, and guide Matillion usage for orchestration and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake and Matillion - Define and maintain best practices in data modeling - Lead the adoption and scaling of modern data stack tools - Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data requirements - Ensure compliance with governance and security frameworks - Optimize Snowflake performance - Develop robust integration strategies across various sources - Promote data quality and metadata management standards - Guide Matillion usage for orchestration and performance optimization Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field - Expert-level Snowflake skills - Strong hands-on experience with Matillion ETL/ELT pipelines - Deep understanding of scalable cloud data architecture - Proficient in SQL and scripting (Python or Bash) - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred) - Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code tools - Solid understanding of ELT/ETL design and orchestration patterns Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools - Familiarity with BI tools - Knowledge of data governance platforms - Exposure to real-time data pipelines or ML platform support - Industry experience in finance, healthcare, retail, or other regulated domains In addition to the technical aspects, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, self-driven approach, capability of working independently, comfort in fast-paced environments, good organizational and time management skills, customer-centric and solution-oriented approach, and fluency in written and spoken English are considered beneficial for this role.
