As a motion designer at Skunkworks, you will play a crucial role in bringing stories to life through captivating animations. You will have a deep understanding of the principles of animation, including timing, spacing, easing, arcs, and anticipation. Your expertise in these areas will allow you to create visually stunning and dynamic animations that engage and excite our audience. Joining our core motion team, you will collaborate with designers, videographers, Unreal and C4D teams, as well as our sound designer to craft animations for a variety of events, launches, and experiences. From micro-interactions to large-scale moments, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that span across big screens, honing your skills and pushing the boundaries of motion design. While we will provide training in advanced 2D or 3D workflows, we expect you to have a solid foundation in animation theory and principles. Your portfolio should demonstrate a keen eye for detail, a sense of timing, and a high level of creative control. We value individuals who are eager to explore different visual styles and storytelling formats, continuously learning and striving to improve their craft. In this role, you will use a variety of tools, including After Effects as a necessity, and familiarity with Blender, C4D, or Notch would be advantageous. If you have experience with sketching, it would be a valuable asset. Additionally, bonus points will be awarded if you have previously animated to music, voice, or rhythm, possess a keen interest in creating clean graphs and seamless easing, and aspire to build a long-term career in motion design.
