The Opportunity: We are actively seeking a visionary and exceptionally experienced Chief Technology & AI Officer (CTAO) to join us as a co-founder. This pivotal role combines broad technological leadership with deep AI/ML expertise, driving the entire technical strategy and execution for 6DLABS. With approximately 10-12 years of progressive experience in high-growth tech environments, you will architect, build, and scale our core Interactive Experiential Reality (IE) platform. Your leadership will be crucial in pioneering AI-driven personalisation, realistic 3D garment simulation, and predictive analytics that will redefine online luxury shopping. As a co-founder, you will collaborate closely with our CEO, CXO, CDO, and CGO to bring our ambitious vision to life as a robust, scalable, and innovative product. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the technological foundation of a disruptive startup, with the potential for this combined role to evolve and split into distinct CTO and Head of AI positions as we achieve significant growth. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Technical & AI Leadership: Define, articulate, and execute the holistic technology and AI/ML vision, strategy, and roadmap for 6DLABS, ensuring direct alignment with product goals, business growth, and market opportunities. Platform Architecture & Development: Lead the end-to-end architectural design, hands-on development oversight, and successful deployment of our IE platform. This includes managing backend infrastructure, frontend experiences, immersive AR/VR components, and all core AI/ML functionalities. Pioneering AI/ML Initiatives: Spearhead the full lifecycle of AI/ML innovation within the product, encompassing: Designing, developing, and implementing advanced models for biometric data analysis, hyper-personalised style recommendations, and highly accurate return likelihood prediction. Driving the application of AI to elevate the realism and interactivity of real-time 3D garment simulations (e.g., dynamic fabric behaviour, realistic draping). * Continuously researching, evaluating, and integrating cutting-edge AI methodologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and other generative AI techniques. Team Building & Management: Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class technical team across all disciplines (AI/ML engineering, AR/VR development, backend, frontend, DevOps, QA), fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence. Scalability, Performance & Security: Architect and implement solutions that ensure the platform’s robustness, high scalability, optimal real-time performance, and stringent security. Establish and uphold MLOps best practices and secure data governance protocols. Cross-Functional Co-creation: Collaborate intensively with the CXO on UI/UX and 3D design, the CDO on AR/VR experiences and core game engine development, and the CGO on translating growth strategies into technical requirements and product capabilities. Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee cloud infrastructure management, implement advanced DevOps practices, and guarantee the highest levels of system reliability, efficiency, and uptime. * External Representation & Communication: Serve as a key technical spokesperson for the company, effectively communicating complex technical strategies and product capabilities to investors, strategic partners, and the broader tech community. Qualifications:~10-12 years of progressive leadership experience in software development and AI/ML, with a demonstrated track record of architecting, building, and scaling complex technical products from conception to market. Dual Expertise: Proven experience in both broad technical leadership (akin to a CTO role) and deep, hands-on expertise in AI/ML development, model deployment, and MLOps. AI/ML Mastery: Extensive practical experience with a wide array of AI/ML techniques, including recommendation systems, computer vision, predictive analytics, large-scale data processing, and ideally, experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Immersive Tech Acumen: Strong understanding of AR/VR technologies, real-time 3D rendering pipelines, and experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine). Prior experience with realistic garment simulation or digital fashion is a significant advantage. Technical Stack: Proficiency in leading AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and core programming languages (e.g., Python, C#/C++). Expertise in scalable cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices. Leadership & Vision: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to attract, inspire, and retain top-tier engineering talent.
