Ensure that every inbound shipment is received and recorded correctly, every outbound shipment is picked/packed/shipped on time, inventory remains accurate, and daily reports are sent without fail. Handle wrong items, not-received cases, and all RTOs. Drive daily dispatch priorities and proactively raise low-inventory alerts. Key Responsibilities1) Inbound (Product In) Plan and receive all incoming shipments against PO/ASN. Conduct count & quality checks; create GRN within SLA. Raise discrepancy notes immediately: Wrong Item , Short/Excess Qty , Damaged , Not Received (NR) ; coordinate with vendor and accounts for closure. Label, bin, and put away stock on the same day (or within 24 hours). 2) Outbound (Product Out) Convert orders to pick lists; assign pickers and packers. Follow dispatch priority : prepaid > promised-today > ageing> standard. Ensure correct item, batch/SKU, and quantity; seal and manifest parcels. Handover to the courier with proper documentation and E-way bills (as applicable). 3) Inventory Control Maintain ≥ 99% inventory accuracy between physical and system stock. Run daily cycle counts, weekly ABC counts, and monthly wall-to-wall counts. Investigate variances the same day; update the system after approval. Set and monitor reorder levels ; send low inventory alerts to Purchase/Sales with recommended reorder quantity. Quarantine and track damaged/expired/blocked stock. 4) Returns & RTO Receive and inspect RTO/Customer Returns ; record reason codes. Decide restock / rework / scrap and update inventory accordingly. Share weekly RTO summary with reasons and actions (packaging, address, courier issue, customer refusal, etc.). 5) Daily Reporting & Documentation Send End-of-Day (EOD) report by [set time] covering: Opening vs Closing stock, Inbound GRNs, Outbound shipments, RTO received. Discrepancies raised (Wrong Item, NR/Short, Damage) and status. Low-stock SKUs (below reorder), stockouts, pending picks, courier pickups missed. SLA metrics: pick accuracy, dispatch on-time %, cycle count coverage, shrinkage. Maintain all records: GRN, DC/Challan, Pick/Pack sheets, Courier Manifests, RTO logs. 6) People, Process, and Safety Lead and train the warehouse team on SOPs. Plan shifts, overtime, and leave to meet volume. Keep the floor clean and safe; enforce PPE and material handling rules. Conduct weekly toolbox talks; report incidents/near misses. 7) Systems & Coordination Work in WMS/ERP (e.g., Tally/Zoho/other) and spreadsheets.
