Job Title: R&D Executive – Food Technology Location: Rajkot, Gujarat (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a motivated R&D Executive to join our team at Shanti Foods India , Rajkot. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving product innovation, improving formulations, enhancing nutritional content, and supporting scale-up activities for our FMCG product lines. Key Responsibilities Direct Activities Execute product development projects including formulation, pilot & plant trials, sensory evaluation, and R&D documentation (specifications, protocols, reports). Develop healthier product lines with reduced fat or sugar. Minimise contamination risks and ensure food safety standards. Build prototypes and test products both in-house and on-site. Plan, design, and conduct physico-chemical testing with data analysis. Improve product shelf life and optimize costs without compromising quality. Innovate solutions for scrap, spoilage, and waste reduction. Scale up manufacturing operations for new products. Indirect Activities Conduct feasibility studies for R&D projects. Maintain R&D data and documentation. Manage R&D project timelines and financials. Educate teams (food scientists, FSQA, operations) on ingredient functionality and formulation fundamentals. Collaborate with NPD, HACCP, Quality, and Regulatory teams to execute ideas. Coordinate multidisciplinary projects with Marketing, external labs, vendors, and suppliers. Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG (Preferred). Skills & Requirements Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory). Strong analytical and project management skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
