Senior Video Engineer

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technology innovation, pushing boundaries to enable next-generation experiences and drive digital transformation for a smarter, connected future. Your primary responsibilities will include researching, designing, developing, simulating, and validating systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions to facilitate cutting-edge technology development. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Development and productization of various video solutions on Qualcomm processors - Enhancement of video and imaging firmware solutions, along with assisting in video and imaging hardware subsystem enhancements in future Qualcomm Mobile Processors - Designing video and imaging features and collaborating with diverse teams (systems, software, hardware, etc.) for productization - Interacting with customers to commercialize Qualcomm Video solutions Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, OR PhD in a related field - 2-6 years of experience in image processing/computer vision/video domain - Good understanding of image processing and computer vision fundamentals - Hands-on knowledge/experience in camera/computer vision pipeline development, porting, and optimization - Solid C programming skills with multithreading experience - Strong analytical, algorithmic, and problem-solving skills - Hands-on experience in developing advanced video codecs like AVC, HEVC, AV1, VVC - Optional: Good understanding of OS concepts/fundamentals - Collaborative approach to design, implement, and debug multimedia features for mobile devices Additional Company Details: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
