Job Description

Hybrid Tester Required (Manual + Automation)Software Tester with strong experience in Banking domain testing, particularly in API testing using Postman
The ideal candidate should have sound understanding of banking processes, functional testing, defect management, and integration testing
Key Responsibilities:Understand business requirements and create test scenarios, test plans, and test cases
Perform API testing using Postman including requests validation, response validation, status codes, and payload validation
Validate REST/SOAP APIs including JSON, XML structures, headers, authentication, response time, and error codes
Execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing for banking applications
Analyze logs, request-response data, and raise defects with detailed evidence
Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners for test deliverables
Maintain test documentation and ensure traceability to requirements
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives
Work closely with automation teams (if applicable) for test coverage alignment
Ensure compliance with banking standards, security guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills:Strong knowledge of API Testing using Postman - Collections, Environment variables, Pre/Post scripts, Assertions
Hands-on experience in writing test scripts in Postman using JavaScript (optional but added advantage)
Solid understanding of Banking domain processes
