JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester with strong experience in Database Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating backend systems, databases, and API integrations. Experience in Core Banking applications such as Finacle will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents. Prepare and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data. Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT Testing. Validate APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger. Verify request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and error handling. Perform backend validation using SQL queries and database testing techniques. Validate data integrity, data mapping, data migration, and ETL processes. Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA. Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners for defect resolution. Ensure test execution reports and status updates are communicated effectively. Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, and release validation activities. Mandatory Skills Strong experience in Manual Testing. Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of Database Testing. Expertise in writing complex SQL Queries, Joins, Stored Procedures, and Data Validation. Experience in Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT Testing. Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA. Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle. Good to Have Experience with Finacle Core Banking.
