Senior Technical Architect - Firmware Engineering

Role Overview: The Software Engineering team at Dell Technologies is seeking a Technical Staff to contribute to the development of next-generation application enhancements and new products. As a part of this team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with internal and external partners to shape the architecture and operational efficiency of BIOS and firmware for client products. Key Responsibilities: - Lead technical execution across BIOS, embedded firmware, and platform software domains - Participate in core BIOS and firmware engineering, including chipset reference code, open-source integration, and feature development for Intel, AMD, and ARM platforms - Take responsibility for boot/bring-up, power/thermal, device initialization, manageability, firmware update/rollback, and manufacturing readiness - Engage in platform-specific enablement to ensure product delivery and high quality - Define and execute modernization strategies to drive feature commonality across silicon - Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful product delivery Qualifications Required: - 20+ years of engineering and technical expertise with a master's or bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline - Deep knowledge of UEFI BIOS, embedded firmware, and operating systems such as Windows, RTOS, Zephyr, Linux, and device drivers - Proven ability in problem-solving and working with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and product lines - Experience with the PC ecosystem deployment focusing on BIOS and embedded controller firmware - Familiarity with software and firmware development life cycle Join Dell Technologies in making a social impact and contribute to the future of technology.
