Senior Staff Engineer - Compute WoS Thermal Analysis & Optimization

Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for a skilled candidate to join the Power/Thermal Software products team. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for developing industry-leading Power/Thermal/Limit SW management solutions for Qualcomm's Mobile, Automotive, Compute, IoT, and AR/VR chipsets. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify Power optimizations, Perf tuning, thermal/limits HW tuning, characterization, risks assessment, and providing optimized solutions with proper mitigation strategies. Your responsibilities will include performing system-level analysis of Power/thermal use cases, collaborating with Architecture, HW design, Performance, Power/Thermal Systems, and various software teams to work towards optimal system-level Power/thermal SW solutions. Additionally, you will be involved in developing tools and methodologies for competitive analysis to understand competitors" strengths and weaknesses, and devising thermal mitigation schemes that set industry standards. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's/Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in embedded systems design & development with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks. - Proficiency in operating systems concepts such as scheduling, memory management, process management, interrupt handling, and device drivers. - Experience in using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers. - Knowledge of power or Power/thermal management SW development.
