As an experienced Ruby On Rails software engineer at the tech lead level, you will be responsible for contributing to high-quality public GitHub repositories with 5000+ stars. Your role will involve hands-on software engineering tasks, such as development environment automation, issue triaging, and evaluating test coverage and quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to explore the interaction between LLMs and real code, shaping the future of AI-assisted software development. Your day-to-day activities will include: - Analyzing and triaging GitHub issues on popular open-source libraries - Setting up and configuring code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup - Evaluating unit test coverage and quality - Running and modifying codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios - Collaborating with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation - Potentially leading a team of junior engineers on collaborative projects The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Ruby On Rails, proficiency in Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
