Senior Software Engineer - Product Security

As a Senior Software Engineer at Tide, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and delivering security products to internal and external stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security and integrity of the Tide platform and services, thereby safeguarding Tide's infrastructure and protecting our Members" data. You will lead the development of secure systems and frameworks, as well as establish best practices for the wider Tide engineering community. Collaboration across the entire business is key to implementing robust security measures and making Tide's systems more resilient. Your role will involve building experiences for the engineering community, focusing on designing elegant solutions, and implementing Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines. You will be expected to conduct application security design and code reviews, enhance engineering standards in accordance with industry best practices, drive innovation, and champion resilience throughout the organization. Automation, collaboration, and a passion for security concepts are essential qualities for this position. Moreover, you will contribute to innovative solutions and products to enhance the safety of our Members. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in the security domain. Extensive knowledge and experience in building server-side applications using programming languages such as Java 17 or newer are required. Proficiency in a Java backend framework (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot), familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies, and a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines are essential. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for collaborating with engineers and non-engineers alike.
