Senior Software Engineer Dev Data Engineer

The Sr. Data Engineer position at a top retail analytics client in Germany requires designing and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory & DBT. You will be responsible for managing PostgreSQL, Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Storage, Logic Apps, and CI/CD. Collaboration with DevOps team is essential for this role. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of experience in Data Engineering with expertise in PostgreSQL or any SQL-based databases. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a must. Experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark would be an added advantage. Familiarity with Azure Storage (Blob, ADLS) and Logic Apps is desirable. Knowledge of Git for version control and basic understanding of Big Data concepts are required. Additionally, basic knowledge of DevOps principles such as CI/CD, automation, and deployment would be beneficial. Optional skills that would be advantageous include familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation, experience in the Retail Analytics domain, and exposure to Cloud DevOps tools like Terraform or Azure DevOps.
