Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Elevance Health in Bangalore/Gurugram, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining the performance of database servers, administering various database systems including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, and developing processes to optimize database security. Your role will involve setting and maintaining database standards, managing database access, and tuning the performance of database systems. You will also be required to install, upgrade, and manage database applications, diagnose and troubleshoot database errors, and recommend and implement emerging database technologies. Additionally, you will create automation for repetitive database tasks and provide support to application teams for SQL/PLSQL code re-write and other database-related activities. To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and expertise in Oracle DBA and Oracle PL_SQL Developer are essential. You will be expected to work closely with Core DBA teams, provide 24/7 support to application teams, and conduct training sessions on advanced PLSQL concepts. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing AWR & ASH reports, proposing DB level automations, and ensuring smooth execution of production releases.
