Senior Software Engineer Android (Kotlin)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing Android applications in a long-term software project based in Trivandrum, India. You will collaborate with the existing project team on technical and managerial aspects, including requirement elicitation, software architecture designing, implementation, and code reviews. Your role involves taking each assigned task to completion with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: - Perform software requirements analysis to determine functional and non-functional project requirements. - Create solutions and design software architecture based on the analyzed requirements. - Write high-quality code and conduct developer-level verification. - Clearly communicate requirements and expectations to stakeholders. - Ensure on-time delivery of the product with a focus on quality. - Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. - Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, to ensure project success. - Handle priority changes and conflicts with stakeholders effectively. - Address customer escalations and quickly identify and resolve product issues. - Proactively utilize and recommend tools and systems to enhance quality and productivity. - Stay updated on relevant technology and process advancements. Qualifications and Requirements: - Over three years of experience in Android application development. - Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, with a preference for Kotlin. - Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to back-end services. - Knowledge of other mobile technologies and UI/UX standards. - Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines. - Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. - Proficient in code versioning tools like git. - Good understanding of software development lifecycles, version control, and traceability. - Experience in Agile software development. - Familiarity with various development tools for designing, coding, debugging, testing, bug tracking, collaboration, and source control. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer/Electronics Engineering.
