Senior Software Developer-Automotive

Role Overview: As an Embedded Software Developer, your main responsibility will be to design and implement application software components and functions for real-time embedded systems. You will analyze and break down customer requirements and specifications to system/function and software level, develop system/function design, and create software requirements specifications. Additionally, you will develop software components mainly using C, write component tests, integrate the components to create a fully functional software package, and collaborate with internal and external partners like other software developers, the test department, and customer teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement application software components and functions for real-time embedded systems - Analyze and breakdown customer requirements and specifications - Develop system/function design - Create software requirements specifications for function and allocation to the component - Develop software components mainly using C - Write component tests - Integrate components to create a fully functional software package - Integrate third-party solutions into the system - Collaborate with internal and external partners Qualifications Required: - Experience in development of embedded C software - Familiarity with static code analysis such as MISRA C/C++ - Understanding of AUTOSAR layered software architecture - Good knowledge of software and application design, design patterns - Experience in unit testing and component testing - Experience with at least one embedded compiler (GHS, tasking, etc.) - Familiarity with debugging tools like Lauterbach/Trace32 - Understanding of embedded concepts like HW/SW interfacing, drivers, RTOS - Knowledge of operating systems applied in embedded systems - Experience with configuration and version management tools (SVN, Git) - Exposure to handling AUTOSAR stacks is a plus - Familiarity with UML is a plus - Understanding of automotive protocols like LIN, CAN is a plus - Experience with requirement management tools like DOORS is a plus - Hands-on experience with modeling tools like Rhapsody, Enterprise architect is an added advantage Additional Company Details: The company requires candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience in the field. The educational requirement is a B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree. The position also requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally as per business demands.
