Role & responsibilities

A. Clinical Responsibilities

Perform, interpret, and report diagnostic imaging studies including:

X-ray
Ultrasound
CT
MRI
Fluoroscopy
Mammography (if applicable)

Perform ultrasound-guided procedures (FNAC, biopsies, aspirations) under supervision depending on institutional protocol.
Assist in interventional radiology procedures, if available.
Ensure timely reporting and communication of critical findings to clinical teams.
Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, radiation protection, and ethical practice.
Participate in departmental on-call duties, night duties, and emergency radiology services.

B. Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

Teach and mentor
MBBS students
,
Radiology Postgraduates (JR/Residents)
, interns, and allied health staff.
Conduct and participate in bedside/spot teaching sessions, seminars, case discussions, and journal clubs.
Contribute to curriculum implementation as per NMC/NABH/Institutional guidelines.

C. Qualifications

MD/DNB in Radiology
from a recognized institution.
Registration with
National Medical Commission (NMC)
or the relevant State Medical Council.
Completion of internship, residency requirements, and eligibility as per institutional norms.
