Job Description

As a member of the Uber AI Solutions team, you will be part of a Moonshot AI team dedicated to optimizing the gig marketplace through intelligent supply and demand matching. Your role will involve conducting foundational and applied research in the GenAI space, focusing on developing advanced ML models for human-in-the-loop data annotation and automated evaluation systems. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the growth of Uber AI Solutions as a leader in the field. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and define novel research problems that benefit from advanced ML expertise. - Design and develop innovative ML models and algorithms to address these problems. - Collaborate with engineering teams to transition research prototypes into production systems. - Explore new ideas and solutions to drive product improvements and impact the ML community. - Work with cross-functional counterparts to understand real-world needs and enhance research directions. - Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals. - Stay updated on the latest ML research trends and contribute to team best practices. Qualifications Required: - Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field. - 2+ years post-PhD or 5+ years post-Masters research experience in academia or industry. - Strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals, showcasing impactful research. - Deep expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with a solid understanding of modern Generative AI techniques such as Transformers, Diffusion Models, LLMs. Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of industry or academic research experience in ML/AI. - Proven ability to train large models on distributed infrastructure for research purposes. - Demonstrated skill in rapidly prototyping and iterating on research ideas, showing curiosity and an experimental approach. - Experience in effective collaboration across organizations to drive research adoption.,
