Senior QA Engineer

Job Description The Senior QA Engineer performs testing and leadership tasks on projects for quality assurance. Plans and creates test plans and test cases for complex areas of the product suites, and well versed and contribute to the improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). *** This is a hybrid position - working 3 days a week from our Bangalore office. *** Key Responsibilities Define and execute test strategies for major features, ensuring robust coverage and scalability Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases Own end-to-end test planning, execution, and automation for assigned features or modules Advocate for best practices in testing, quality, and automation across the team Lead test case reviews and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers Work closely with developers during feature design to ensure testability and early defect detection Analyze test results, debug issues, and work closely with developers for resolution Participate in release readiness reviews, including test planning, defect analysis, and risk assessments Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and standards to ensure the highest quality of delivery Qualifications and requirements: BE/BTech preferably in Computer Science or MCA Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing Proven experience testing scalable SaaS applications, preferably enterprise-level cloud platforms Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, playwright, cucumber or similar Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar Familiarity with BDD and writing BDD test automation Knowledge of SQL and experience with database application testing; Oracle experience is a plus Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Git.
