As a Senior Python Automation Engineer at SISC, you will be a skilled test automation developer with the ability to work independently and lead technically. Your primary technical skills will include strong object-oriented Python programming expertise and exceptional debugging skills to analyze complex issues and determine root causes. You should possess substantial experience and knowledge in web application automation using tools like Selenium, as well as proficiency in Python and standard test frameworks such as pytest or unittest. Familiarity with different testing methodologies, software development life cycle, and automation frameworks is essential. In addition to technical skills, your role will require specific behavioral competencies. You should be capable of providing technical solutions, leading automation teams, and effectively communicating with stakeholders across product development and QA domains. Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, ownership mindset, teamwork, and proactive idea generation are key behavioral traits for this position. Desirable secondary skills for this role may include knowledge of JavaScript or Java, as well as familiarity with technologies like Dockers and virtual environments. Your responsibilities will encompass requirement analysis, automation test design and implementation, test execution, bug triaging, ownership of software quality from a QA perspective, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to address dependencies and improve testing efficiency.
