Senior Principal Member of Technical Staff- OCI // Storage team

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will have the opportunity to work on building and operating a suite of massive-scale, integrated cloud services in a multi-tenant cloud environment. You will be part of the Infrastructure Cloud Object Storage team, responsible for designing and developing a performant, scalable, highly available, and durable object store. Your role will involve working on various layers of the stack, from REST APIs to distributed systems, and contributing to the innovation and improvement of the existing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in defining and developing software for software applications or operating systems - Provide technical leadership to other software developers - Design and implement new features in collaboration with senior architects and product management - Define and guide engineering processes and procedures - Review code written by peers to ensure correctness and alignment with design principles - Operate services hosting massive amounts of data - Build and improve component design/code for efficiency, performance, simplicity, scale, and resiliency - Mitigate LSE (Latent Software Error) and work on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), Observability improvements, and Tooling - Contribute to test coverage, observability, availability, and durability - Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the services Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field - Proficiency in a major Object-Oriented Programming language such as Java, C#, or C++ - Deep understanding of data structures and design patterns - Experience in building, testing, and debugging robust production services - Familiarity with standard architectures for Distributed Systems - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities - Thorough understanding of Storage/Filesystems including Testing Scope, Storage fundamentals, Storage efficiency, Rebalancing, Replication, Striping, Redundancy (Note: Omitting the additional details about the company as it was not present in the Job Description),
