Your role will involve developing and designing piping systems for new construction and modification projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes. You will also be tasked with creating material take-offs (MTOs) and piping bill of materials (BOMs) based on design specifications. In the realm of Project Coordination, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and construction teams to integrate design elements effectively. Working closely with the procurement team, you will ensure accurate material and equipment specifications. Additionally, you will review and provide input on piping design drawings during project reviews to identify conflicts and enhance efficiency. Your expertise in 3D Design & Modeling will be crucial as you utilize AutoCAD 3D or similar software to generate detailed piping models that seamlessly integrate with other system designs. It will be your responsibility to optimize piping systems and layouts to minimize conflicts and ensure efficient use of space and materials. Furthermore, you will assist in converting 2D designs into 3D models to support construction and installation activities. In terms of Design Reviews & Compliance, you will conduct internal design reviews to ensure that all piping systems adhere to relevant codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API. Implementing necessary design changes and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures will be part of your role.
