Senior Operator, DAP DCS/Senior Operator, DAP DCS I

As a Shift Operator, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and control the equipment within your designated area. You will need to follow instructions provided by your Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Plant during your shift. It is essential to perform all activities outlined for your area of responsibility, maintain accurate records in the log sheet and logbook, and effectively communicate with the reliever during shift changes. You will be required to collaborate with operators across plants to optimize production and promptly inform DCS operators of any abnormalities or parameters affecting plant operations. Identifying and resolving operating problems in a timely manner will be crucial to maintaining smooth plant operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting sample analysis, reviewing results, and communicating findings to DCS operators. Ensuring safe shutdown and start-up procedures in specific plant areas, adhering to standard operating procedures, and complying with health, safety, and environmental guidelines and regulations are paramount. Maintaining a clean work area, following training modules as planned, and possessing a technical diploma or equivalent education with experience in fertilizer and chemical processes are essential qualifications for this role. A minimum of 3-5 years of operational experience in fertilizer or chemical processes and plant operations is preferred. You should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess a general working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control, and be proficient in troubleshooting and executing operating procedures. Proficiency in English language literacy, embracing digitalization within the function, and fostering networking and collaboration skills will be beneficial. This is a full-time, permanent position with day shift and morning shift schedules. Your work location will be on-site.,
