Senior Lead/Staff Engineer - Video Firmware

As a Systems Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for the development and productization of various video solutions on Qualcomm processors. Your role will involve enhancing video and imaging Firmware solutions, as well as contributing to video and imaging hardware subsystem enhancements in future Qualcomm Mobile Processors. You will be involved in the design of video and imaging features, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company for productization, and engaging with customers to commercialize Qualcomm Video solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and productize various video solutions on Qualcomm processors - Enhance video and imaging Firmware solutions - Assist with video and imaging hardware subsystem enhancements in future Qualcomm Mobile Processors - Design video and imaging features and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Interact with customers to commercialize Qualcomm Video solutions Qualifications Required: - Recent and relevant experience of 6-10 years in embedded systems domain - Solid C programming skills, multithreading, and OS concepts/fundamentals - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and debug video/multimedia features for mobile devices - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Capability to lead a team of 2-5 engineers, handle task assignments, and decide on team strategies - Strong decision-making and resource planning skills Preferred Skills: - Good understanding of signal processing, video compression/codecs (Encoder + Decoder), and other video pre/post-processing algorithms - Experience in multimedia (Video, Camera, Computer Vision) domain - Hands-on knowledge/experience in H.264/HEVC/VP9/MPEG family video codec(s) development, porting, and optimization Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience - OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience - OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience You will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of video solutions at Qualcomm, working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with talented teams across the organization.,
