Senior Java Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Quark Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on the Quark Publishing Platform NextGen (QPPNextGen) by integrating Azure OpenAI and other Azure services to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions for enterprise publishing. Integration Design and Development: - Architect and implement seamless integration of Azure OpenAI services with QPPNextGen's microservices-based architecture. - Ensure secure and efficient communication between Azure OpenAI and QPPNextGen components, adhering to best practices for performance and scalability. AI/ML Feature Development: - Collaborate with Product Management to design and develop Azure OpenAI-powered features, such as content generation, document summarization, sentiment analysis, and data insights. - Build and expose RESTful APIs for AI capabilities within QPPNextGen. Azure Ecosystem Expertise: - Leverage Azure services like Azure Functions, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to support AI feature development. - Optimize resource utilization for cost efficiency and reliability in a cloud-native environment. AI/ML Expertise: - Apply AI/ML expertise to fine-tune models, improve feature performance, and develop innovative solutions tailored to customer needs. - Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML, particularly Azure OpenAI capabilities, to recommend and implement cutting-edge features. Collaboration and Mentorship: - Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. - Mentor junior developers and share expertise in AI/ML technologies and Azure services. Quality Assurance: - Implement robust testing for AI/ML components. - Ensure compliance with ethical AI practices and data privacy regulations. - Assist in the creation of release-specific product documentation. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 4+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design. - 1+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development, including experience with Azure OpenAI services. - Proven track record of integrating AI/ML models into enterprise applications. - Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based solution design. - Proficiency in Azure services like Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Functions, and AKS. - Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and applications. - Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Kafka. - Certification in Azure AI or cloud technologies.,
