Senior Go Engineer

As a Senior Go Engineer specializing in Low-Latency Trading Systems at a high-frequency crypto exchange, your primary mission is to build and enhance ultra-low-latency and fault-tolerant trading services. You will be responsible for designing and deploying Go services that handle order ingest, risk checks, book building, pricing, and routing with sub-millisecond P99 budgets, while seamlessly integrating with market data, matching, and settlement stacks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement Go microservices for low-latency order ingest, risk checks, book building, pricing, and routing with stringent latency requirements. - Profile and optimize hot paths such as CPU, memory, GC, syscalls, and apply data-oriented designs to minimize locks. - Build resilient pipelines for market data and events using Kafka, and develop stateful services on NoSQL and KV stores. - Implement strong failure-domain isolation, backpressure mechanisms, circuit breaking, and ensure well-defined consistency and ordering guarantees. - Integrate services with HashiCorp Consul for service discovery and dynamic configuration, and ensure zero-downtime deploys and feature flag management. - Implement comprehensive metrics, tracing, and structured logs for observability, and establish SLOs and on-call playbooks for incident response. - Adhere to security best practices, participate in design reviews, and follow secure coding practices to ensure system reliability and compliance. **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of professional systems/backend experience with at least 3 years of experience in building high-throughput services using Go. - Demonstrated experience in low-latency systems or domains like HFT, market data, matching, or risk management. - Proficiency in concurrency, memory models, data-oriented design, and strong networking fundamentals. - Hands-on experience with Kafka, NoSQL/KV stores, and HashiCorp Consul. - Proficiency in Linux performance tooling and benchmarking methodologies, along with a strong testing discipline. In addition to the above qualifications, experience in C/C++/Rust, kernel/bare-metal tuning, time-sync and clock-domain handling, matching engines, order books, and familiarity with zero-copy techniques and idempotent semantics will be considered a bonus.,
