Senior FPGA Lead Design Engineer

As an FPGA prototyping Engineer with more than 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for independently working on FPGA prototyping tasks. You should be proficient in modifying verilog models and incorporating glue logic adjustments to match the FPGA system requirements. It is essential for you to conduct simulations in the FPGA test bench to ensure the basic quality checks are met before finalizing the bit stream. Your role also involves providing support to the FW team during the debugging process. Your key responsibilities will include generating FPGA bit files by designing or modifying verilog models and integrating them into the SOC design. You will be expected to independently debug issues related to FPGA synthesis and utilize or customize the FPGA test bench for running simulations to verify basic functionality. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the FW team to offer debug support and work with the design and DV team for identifying and resolving issues. It is crucial for you to maintain clear documentation outlining the steps involved in the FPGA build and testbench setup. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of FPGA architecture, synthesis, place and route, timing closure, and relevant tools such as Vivaldo. Previous experience working with HAPS boards, proficiency in Verilog for model modifications, and knowledge of SoC architecture, AHB bus protocols, DDR controller, MIPI protocol, and I2C protocol are essential requirements. Additionally, experience in debugging hardware and software issues, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, will be beneficial for success in this role.,
