Senior Engineer - C/C++ (Multimedia)

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a talented individual to join the Engineering Group as part of the Software Engineering team. As a member of the multi-skilled IOT platform team, you will be responsible for various tasks across different tech areas. Your primary duties will include quick prototype building for customer demos on Linux/Android, feature development work across the stack, and contributing to the end-to-end software execution of Qualcomm SoC based IOT products. You will also be involved in supporting platform bringups, addressing platform-specific customer escalated issues, and ensuring on-time delivery of product deliverables with competitive functionality, stability, and performance. Collaboration with geographically distributed core & execution teams is a key aspect of this role. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and have at least 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. Strong development experience with C/C++, excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. Additionally, you should possess hands-on experience with Android and/or Ubuntu, a deep understanding of Linux kernel and internals, familiarity with SOC systems, and experience with troubleshooting software and system issues. Knowledge of Multimedia subsystems like Camera, Video, Audio, Display, and Graphics is highly desirable. You must demonstrate a strong aptitude, be a quick learner, self-motivated, and willing to explore and work across various technology areas. Deductive problem-solving skills and good verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration across teams.
