Senior Embedded Engineer, Computer Vision Technologies XR Research

You will be part of Qualcomm XR Research India, a team focusing on cutting-edge XR solutions. As a Systems Lead Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving next-generation technologies for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) use cases. In this role, you will be responsible for building and testing prototype devices for various perception technologies. Your expertise in embedded product development, including low-level device driver development, HW/SW interfaces, and sensor drivers, will be crucial for the team's success. Collaboration with different stakeholders and flexibility in adapting to fast-paced changes are key aspects of this position. - Coordinate with stakeholders to define reference/prototype device requirements for perception features - Develop embedded software/firmware using C, C++ language for Windows/Android/Linux platforms - Bring up new camera sensors, IMU sensors, and work on I2C/SPI interfaces - Design and optimize embedded software for efficient performance - Collaborate with ID design and electronics team for building reference/prototype devices - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field - 3+ years of experience in C++ programming and embedded device development - Strong understanding of embedded hardware & driver concepts - Experience in designing prototype devices using microcontrollers, sensors, FPGA, cameras, and IMUs - Familiarity with Augmented/Virtual Reality and computer vision enabling technologies - Proficiency in developing camera, flash/LEDs, and IMUs sensor drivers,
