Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer

As a Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer at a top 5 industrial AI startup in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing innovative AI-based industrial products. Your role will involve collaborating with firmware and mechanical teams, performing testing and debugging, optimizing designs for cost and performance, and staying updated with the latest advancements in electronic components. Additionally, you will develop hardware schematics, conduct worst-case analysis, review PCB layouts, and collaborate on FMEDA activities with the functional safety team. Key Responsibilities: - Design, simulate, and prototype analog and digital circuits for industrial products. - Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for integrated hardware solutions. - Perform testing and debugging to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards. - Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance. - Develop hardware schematics and Bills of Materials (BOM) using EDA tools. - Conduct worst-case analysis for robust and reliable hardware designs. - Review PCB layouts for proper thermal management and compliance with EMI/EMC standards. - Collaborate on FMEDA activities with the functional safety team. - Perform hardware functional testing and document results. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EMI/EMC, thermal, and electrical testing. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design with a focus on analog and digital electronics. - Extensive knowledge of DC/DC converters, Op-Amps, and critical analog circuits. - Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and their impact on hardware design. - Proficiency in worst-case analysis for hardware reliability in diverse operating conditions. - Good communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive attitude. - Ability to work effectively in team environments and engage with clients and stakeholders. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field. - Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-reliability sectors is a plus. - Familiarity with functional safety standards and testing protocols. - Proficiency in design tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or equivalent. - Hands-on experience with PCB design, testing equipment, and debugging tools. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
