Senior Director QE Automation

As a Senior Director of QE Automation at Mobileum, you will lead and manage the Quality Engineering (QE) and Automation teams. Your responsibilities include overseeing quality, risk management, and automation strategies across core network technologies. You will lead a team of Senior Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of systems. Your expertise in backend tools, frameworks, DevOps, and core network technologies is crucial for maintaining system reliability and efficiency. - Drive advanced test automation strategies utilizing the latest AI-powered testing tools to secure, scale, and enhance system performance and reliability. - Architect and evolve automation strategies incorporating AI/ML-driven testing solutions such as autonomous test generation, self-healing scripts, and anomaly detection. - Embed quality into all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, non-functional, and security requirements. - Design and extend modular, scalable automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, mobile apps, and distributed systems focusing on test reusability and intelligence. - Drive test data management and generation strategies to simulate realistic production scenarios and improve automated test reliability. - Apply advanced performance, scalability, and chaos testing techniques to validate system behavior under extreme and unexpected conditions. To excel in this position, you should have deep expertise in quality engineering, core telecom protocols, and emerging trends in AI-led QA innovation. Promote a culture of automation-first, risk-aware, and high-quality software delivery within the organization. Continuously evaluate and onboard next-gen automation tools and platforms, integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows, and lead the evolution of a metrics-driven quality culture using key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will have: - At least 15 years of experience in software quality engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within telecom, cloud, or analytics-driven product companies. - Proven abilities in designing and scaling test automation solutions using modern programming languages and tools. - Hands-on experience with AI-enabled QA platforms, deep expertise in telecom network protocols, familiarity with big data and streaming platforms, and a strong command over cloud-native testing practices. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required for this role. The position is based in Bangalore, India.
