Job Description

As a Database & Data Engineering Specialist at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. Your role will involve working with various database systems, data warehousing platforms, and modern programming technologies. Here's what you can expect in this role: **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL database systems for high performance and scalability. - Work extensively with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and other database technologies. - Implement schema design, indexing strategies, query tuning, partitioning, replication, and backup/recovery solutions. - Ensure database security, data quality, and governance best practices. - Design and implement data warehousing solutions leveraging Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, or equivalent cloud platforms. - Build and enhance ELT/ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data ingestion. - Implement best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, clustering, and warehouse cost governance. - Build scalable data pipelines and automation scripts using Python, Node.js, or similar languages. - Develop reusable data components, microservices, and integrations across data systems. - Implement NCLC (No-Code/Low-Code) based development approaches wherever applicable. - Collaborate with analytics teams to enable data availability for BI, reporting, ML, and product use cases. - Perform exploratory data analysis to drive insights, improve data structures, and identify optimization opportunities. - Work closely with Data Analysts, BI Engineers, and Product & Engineering teams to support data-driven solutions. - Provide guidance on best data engineering, architecture, and development practices. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field. - 5-8 years of experience in database engineering, data warehousing, or data engineering roles. - Strong expertise in SQL & PL/SQL development, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Python, and/or Node.js. - Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT tools, and data architecture concepts. - Familiarity with DevOps practices for databases and experience with No-Code/Low-Code (NCLC) based platforms. **Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills:** - Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Airflow, dbt, or similar data pipeline tools. - Exposure to ML model data enablement or analytics engineering. - Ability to handle big data technologies and distributed data systems.
