Senior Data Management Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking for a Senior Data Management Analyst.

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in moderately complex programs and initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activities
• Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gaps
• Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and procedures
• Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
• Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design
• Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
• Drive planning and coordination on moderately complex remediation efforts acting as central point of contact
• Consult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
• Participate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
• Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Consult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Leverage domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design.
• Translate business requirements into wellstructured data models and semantic relationships.
• Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders.

Data Profiling & Quality Assessment

• Perform analysis of various data sources and develop a deep understanding of the data profiles.
• Perform detailed data profiling to assess data completeness, conformity, anomalies, and structural patterns supporting modeling and data product design.
• Develop and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources.
• Knowledge and understanding of big data (Hadoop) environment .
• Experience in Python , Scripting and Automation.

Data Modeling & Database Design

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business and technical use cases.
• Create database designs and data models for general-purpose, consumption-oriented data products.
• Lead database design to fulfill requirements for general consumption, use cases, and compliance with data quality, governance, and metadata standards.
• Collaborate with SMEs to define domaindriven data product structures and data contracts.
• Understanding of how AI influences modern data architectures, including knowledge graphs, semantic layers, and intelligent data products
• Experience in cloud environment like GCP
• Experience delivering Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and reporting using API Services architecture
• Experience using SQL within a variety of database sources such as SAS, Oracle, or Teradata
• Experience with modeling tools - e.g. SAP Power-Designer, Hackolade, Erwin

Metadata & Documentation

• Create data dictionaries, glossaries, and Source-to-Target mapping documents for Data Product datasets.
• Develop and maintain business glossary, data dictionary, and taxonomy definitions for assigned data domains.
• Ensure semantic consistency across attributes, business terms, and data products through standardized metadata practices.
