Senior Android Middleware Engineer

Role Overview: As a Middleware Engineer for Android Automotive OS (AAOS), your primary responsibility will be to develop and optimize middleware interfaces to ensure seamless interaction between the Android framework and automotive hardware. You will work on extending Vehicle HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) to support vehicle-specific features such as sensors, climate control, and audio systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and framework engineers to integrate middleware components effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Implement vehicle-to-app interfaces to enable smooth communication with in-car systems through Vehicle Property APIs. - Customize and extend the AAOS platform to meet specific OEM requirements. - Integrate, test, and debug middleware components in an AAOS environment. Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) architecture, AOSP, and the Binder IPC mechanism. - Proficiency in C/C++ for middleware and HAL development, along with hands-on experience in Vehicle HAL and VehicleProperty APIs. - Expertise in communication protocols, middleware optimization, and multi-threading models in Android.
