Role Overview: As a SOC Analyst at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and responding to security incidents. Your responsibilities will include incident response, threat detection, stakeholder support, threat hunting, and leveraging cyber intelligence to enhance security measures. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and document security incidents, escalate when necessary, and facilitate handover to L3 teams. - Conduct research and data analysis to identify threats and coordinate remediation efforts. - Assist IT teams and end users in understanding security issues and implementing mitigation strategies. - Perform in-depth investigations beyond routine incidents and recommend corrective actions. - Utilize threat intelligence to propose detection use cases and enhance security posture. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in SOC analysis, with a strong preference for prior network/system admin experience. - Proficiency in Active Directory, Kerberos, ADCS, Windows security logs, network technologies, and cloud security (Azure & O365). - Hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft KQL, and Microsoft E5 Security Stack (Defender suite); familiarity with SIEM & EDR tools, NDR is a plus. - Skilled in writing detection queries (SPL, EKQL, MS-KQL, ArcSight), interpreting PCAPs, regex, malware/phishing analysis, and understanding threat actor TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK). - Ability to create detection hypotheses, tune rules, and enhance playbooks for efficient incident response.
