Senior Accounts Executive

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to manage the financial health and project-based accounting of our architecture and design firm. In this role, you will handle day-to-day corporate accounts, track architectural project profitability, manage Indian tax compliances, and work closely with senior leadership. This is a full-time, in-person (on-site) position based at our office in Ashok Nagar, Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions, general ledger maintenance, and cash flow tracking. Having experience in using Zoho Books is an added advantage.
• Project Costing & Billing: Manage project-based billing, track progress payments, monitor billable vs. non-billable hours, and calculate Work-in-Progress (WIP) for ongoing architecture projects.
• Taxation & Compliance: Direct hands-on management and timely filing for GST, TDS, Professional Tax (PT), and PF/ESI computations.
• Vendor & Consultant Management: Manage payouts, track reimbursable expenses, and reconcile accounts for sub-consultants, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and project profitability reports for management review.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com), Inter-CA, or Inter-ICWA.
• Experience: 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) sectors.
• Software Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with Zoho Books (mandatory) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
• Location: Must be able to commute daily to our office in Ashok Nagar, Chennai.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Above ₹30,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and portfolio track record).
