Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Senior Accountant with at least 1 year of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial record management. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of Tally, Advanced Excel, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, outstanding payment follow-ups, and professional email communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries in Tally.
• Handle GST-related activities, including GST calculations, reconciliations, and return preparation support.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, reconciliations, and return filing support.
• Perform bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
• Track outstanding receivables and payables and follow up with customers and vendors for pending payments.
• Prepare payment reports, outstanding statements, and other financial reports.
• Verify invoices, bills, purchase orders, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
• Handle professional email communication with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
• Prepare Excel reports using VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, SUMIF/SUMIFS, COUNTIF, and other relevant functions.
• Assist with month-end closing, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliation.
• Coordinate with the finance team, auditors, and other departments as required.

Required Skills

• Practical knowledge of Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Good command of Advanced Excel, including lookup formulas and data analysis.
• Basic to good understanding of GST and TDS.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to manage outstanding payments and maintain follow-up records.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in email drafting and professional correspondence.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

Experience & Qualification

• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• B.Com, M.Com, or a relevant accounting qualification is preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in Tally, GST, TDS, and Advanced Excel will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
