Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at our client's location in Andheri, Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, handling reconciliations, and ensuring timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and customer account reconciliation.
• Ensure timely GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
• Manage GST workings, reconciliations, and input tax credit verification.
• Assist in preparation of MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of ledger scrutiny, and account finalisation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in handling complete accounting operations independently.
• Experience in managing GST and TDS compliances.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with management, vendors, clients, and auditors.
• Candidates who can join at short notice will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
