Senior Accountant

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will lead day-to-day accounting operations at our factory in India. The role covers transaction review, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and month-end reporting, with close coordination between the factory and the UAE head office finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
• Review and approve vendor invoices, purchase bills, and expense claims
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including ageing analysis and follow-ups
• Monitor raw material purchases, stock movements, and production-related costs with the stores and production teams
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns, ensuring timely compliance
• Prepare financial reports and lead month-end and year-end closing
• Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies
• Coordinate with the UAE finance team on reporting, consolidation, and queries
• Guide and review the work of junior accounting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com or M.Com required; CA Inter, CMA, or MBA Finance preferred)
• 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setting
• Strong command of general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Tally, ERP, or similar accounting software, and advanced MS Excel
• Sound knowledge of Indian accounting practices, GST, and TDS
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation is an advantage
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organized record keeping
• Good communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow internal controls
• Leadership mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, project-driven environment

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
